Eating on Vacation

It's no secret that I plan my vacations around what restaurants I want to go to. I regularly check The World's 50 Best Restaurants when I'm figuring out the next destination I want to travel to. Oftentimes if a city or country have many restaurants on that list, I will move it up the list of potential destinations!

It may sound crazy, but I find eating in other places to be one of the best ways to learn more about the culture of that place. Many chefs have moved to using locally sourced ingredients when they cook, so often you will find food in restaurants that is from within a small distance of the area you are visiting, which I love.

While I do a lot of research ahead of time, some of the best restaurants I've found have been recommended when I get to my destination. Don't be afraid to change your plans on the fly if someone says you have to try a new place to eat!
